The Challenge & Solution

The Maldives, like many other countries, faced increasing challenges related to sedentary lifestyles, unhealthy dietary habits, and a lack of physical activity among its population. Recognizing the need for a nationwide movement towards better health, the Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Community Empowerment launched the Dhulhaheyo Hashiheyo campaign, in partnership with Wolrd Health Organisation (WHO).

Dhulhaheyo Hashiheyo has had a significant impact on promoting a healthy lifestyle and fitness in the Maldives. The campaign successfully increased awareness about the importance of physical activity and proper nutrition, leading to a positive shift in behavior and attitudes towards health.
